I'm leavin' on a jet plane...

The spirit of John Denver has possessed me!

So that explains the green pea soup and square dancing against my will.

We're heading to mountain high Colorado for a few days to visit my husband's mother. We'll be back soon. I promise.

Oh crap, it's happening again!

Wellllllll life on the farm is kinda laid back
Ain't much an old country boy like me can't hack
It's early to rise, early in the sack
Thank God I'm a country boy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make it stop!

  1. I doom thee to a lifetime of Denver tunes playing nonstop in thy head!

    Have a safe trip.

  2. I confess, but only if you swear not to tell anyone, I attended a John Denver concert. I enjoyed it. I mourn the passing of my favorite John Denver cassette of the concert (played only in the privacy of my car). Please don't rat me out. I would be ostrasized by all my peers if they knew.

  3. I like/liked quite a bit of his music, but don't you think he looked like a Muppet?

  4. I used to like John Denver's music.

What I reall like this morning is the new look of your blog!

    This yellow is quite cheerful.

    Have a good week!

  5. One of my favorite childhood memories -

While I was attending a repressive religious elementary school, we were forced at Biblepoint to tell the class what we thanked God for. All us dutiful little spiritual degenerates parroted the expected replies... "My mommy and daddy", "My dog Snuffy", yada yada yada.

Then it was Alex Vincent's turn. He thought about it a minute, then a big smile lit up his face. He stood up and yelled at the top of his lungs, "THANK GOD I'M A COUNTRY BOY - YEAH!!!"

Alex got to go to the principal's office, but I learned more from Alex about the human spirit than I ever did from that stupid school.

  6. Is John Denver...naked?

  7. Ok... it's been waaaay too long since I have visited. New look- love it.

I enjoyed catching up... I just have one thing to say. Jon Lovitz? That leaves my Forrest Whittaker crush in the dust of weirdness.

  8. I also like a lot of his music. But I don't think I ever bought any of his albums.

You should find some cooler temps in Colorado won't you? The change might feel good for awhile.

From the road in north Idaho.....
